Job Overview:
LPL Financial is seeking an experienced Advisor Affiliation Trainer to support Advisor Affiliates through technology onboarding, affiliation conversions, and business transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for preparing advisors and their staff to confidently adopt LPL technology solutions by delivering training experiences, developing learning content, and supporting end users throughout the onboarding lifecycle. The Advisor Affiliation Trainer serves as a key partner in ensuring successful advisor transitions by combining instructional design, technical aptitude, and facilitation skills to drive technology adoption and business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Participate in discovery sessions, requirements gathering, and needs assessment activities to identify training strategies, methodologies, and delivery approaches.
Develop and maintain instructor-led, virtual, on-demand, and self-service training materials using feedback from subject matter experts and independent research.
Deliver training programs to Advisor Affiliates and support staff for technology implementations, onboarding events, and business conversions.
Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions supporting Affiliation, RIA, Hybrid RIA, LINSCO, M&A, and Enterprise advisor models.
Design, administer, and evaluate assessments, knowledge checks, practice activities, and post-training surveys.
Ensure consistency, quality, and accuracy of training content throughout its lifecycle.
Partner with Program Managers, Relationship Managers, Support Teams, and Technology Teams to coordinate training delivery and improve onboarding experiences.
Support Day 1 onboarding, go-live activities, and advisor conversion events through coaching, troubleshooting coordination, and issue escalation.
Maintain training documentation, learner records, attendance tracking, and program reporting metrics.
Build knowledge of LPL platforms and technology offerings to support advisor learning and adoption.
Analyze learner feedback and program outcomes to identify opportunities for process improvement and increased engagement.
Travel to advisor offices and training events as required to support onboarding and affiliation initiatives.
Contribute to team initiatives through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and participation in strategic training programs.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Training, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of experience in training delivery, instructional design, onboarding, technology adoption, change management, or learning and development.
Experience facilitating virtual and instructor-led training programs.
Experience developing training materials and learner-focused documentation.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Core Competencies:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of technical proficiency.
Adaptability in tailoring training methods to different audience needs and learning styles.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills in time-sensitive situations.
Willingness to travel up to 30-40% annually based on business needs.
Commitment to delivering effective learning experiences that support technology adoption and advisor success.
Preferences:
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience supporting advisor onboarding, financial services, wealth management, or technology implementations.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
Experience with learning management systems (LMS).
Experience creating eLearning, videos, knowledge articles, and self-service learning content.
Pay Range:
