Key Responsibilities

• Implement and execute treatment plans developed by licensed physical therapists, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines.
• Prepare therapy areas and set up necessary equipment, including therapeutic modalities and exercise tools, to ensure a safe treatment space.
• Monitor patient responses to therapy, documenting progress and communicating findings to the therapy team for continuous improvement of care plans.
• Assist in scheduling patient appointments, managing intake procedures, and maintaining effective clinic operations.
• Educate patients on exercises and functional activities to enhance recovery while fostering a supportive and motivating environment.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay informed about best practices and emerging treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. Your contributions directly impact their recovery journeys, helping them regain mobility, strength, and functionality. You will develop meaningful relationships with patients, providing emotional support and motivation as they progress through their rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited educational institution, with a strong understanding of physical therapy principles.
• Current and valid California Physical Therapist Assistant license, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• A minimum of two years of experience working in an outpatient setting or similar rehabilitative environment, demonstrating proficiency in patient care.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, for efficient patient documentation and management.
• Proven skill in manual therapy techniques, allowing for effective treatment of physical impairments and functional limitations.

Preferred Experience

Additional experience with specialized populations, such as geriatric or pediatric patients, is a plus. Proficiency in using physical therapy modalities and equipment will enhance your contributions to our team and improve patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
