Lead Sonographer

Wellstar Health System seeks a Lead Sonographer to guide high-quality ultrasound services within our patient-centered, not-for-profit network. This role performs and oversees complex diagnostic ultrasound exams, ensuring accurate imaging for diverse patient populations. The Lead Sonographer mentors and schedules technologists, standardizes protocols, and collaborates closely with radiologists and providers. Responsibilities include maintaining safety and accreditation standards, supporting quality improvement initiatives, training staff on new technology, and modeling compassionate, culturally sensitive care aligned with Wellstar’s collaborative, community-focused mission.
