Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing treatment plans designed by physical therapists, ensuring all interventions are delivered with technical proficiency and adherence to clinical guidelines.
  • Conducting therapeutic exercises, functional training sessions, and physical modalities tailored to individual patient needs to enhance mobility and promote recovery.
  • Providing instruction and counseling to patients for exercise techniques, ensuring they understand the importance of their rehabilitation activities in achieving their goals.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
  • A current, active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license valid in New York State.
  • Hands-on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training, and the application of various physical modalities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to instruct and educate patients effectively.

Preferred Experience
