Raze Rehab & Physical Therapy Clinic is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team in New York, New York. In this full-time, onsite position, you will play a crucial role in helping our patients reclaim their mobility and independence. You will work closely under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist, actively participating in the rehabilitation process for individuals with various orthopedic conditions.

Work Environment

Located within a hospital setting, our clinic provides a collaborative atmosphere where you can interact with various healthcare professionals. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a stable routine while allowing you to balance work and personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Implementing treatment plans designed by physical therapists, ensuring all interventions are delivered with technical proficiency and adherence to clinical guidelines.
• Conducting therapeutic exercises, functional training sessions, and physical modalities tailored to individual patient needs to enhance mobility and promote recovery.
• Providing instruction and counseling to patients for exercise techniques, ensuring they understand the importance of their rehabilitation activities in achieving their goals.
• Documenting patient progress and treatment effectiveness accurately in compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Assessing patient needs and reacting with compassion and empathy to individual differences, fostering a trusting and productive therapist-patient relationship.
• Staying updated with the latest evidence-based practices and incorporating research findings into treatment protocols for optimal patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• A current, active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license valid in New York State.
• Hands-on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training, and the application of various physical modalities.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to instruct and educate patients effectively.
• Thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and best practices in physical rehabilitation.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum qualifications are essential, candidates with additional certifications in manual therapy techniques or specialized training in orthopedic rehabilitation will be preferred. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is also beneficial, as it ensures that documentation practices align with clinic workflow.

Compensation and Benefits
