 At Hebron Animal Hospital, you’ll join a compassionate, knowledgeable, and supportive team dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care. We are a well-established, fast-paced six-doctor veterinary hospital in Hebron, KY, serving primarily dogs and cats along with pocket pets. As an AAHA-certified hospital, we take pride in maintaining high standards of veterinary medicine while creating a welcoming experience for both clients and patients. We also have Fear Free Certified professionals on our team.

As a veterinary receptionist, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive first and last impression for every client who walks through our doors. You’ll work closely with our veterinary doctors, technicians, assistants, and support team to keep the hospital running smoothly and ensure every client feels heard and cared for.

As a veterinary receptionist, your day may include:

  • Greeting clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
  • Answering phones, emails, and client questions while directing concerns to the appropriate team member
  • Scheduling appointments to support an efficient veterinary hospital workflow
  • Checking clients in and out and processing payments
  • Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
  • Providing compassionate and discreet emotional support to clients during difficult situations
  • Communicating veterinary recommendations and helping clients understand their next steps
  • Multitasking in a busy veterinary environment while maintaining excellent client service

Our veterinary receptionists are an essential part of the client experience and work closely with the entire veterinary team. You should be comfortable discussing a variety of medical outcomes and providing empathy and support when clients need it most.


We’re looking for a veterinary receptionist who is:

  • Experienced in reception or client service; at least 1 year of veterinary experience is preferred
  • Compassionate, calm, and comfortable supporting clients during stressful situations
  • A strong communicator and team player
  • Highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced veterinary setting
  • Comfortable using computers and learning veterinary technology and systems
  • A self-starter who is eager to continue building veterinary knowledge and skills

The role may involve exposure to unpleasant odors and noises, as well as animal waste, bites, scratches, and potentially contagious diseases.
