At Hebron Animal Hospital, we take pride in providing high-quality and compassionate veterinary care. We are a well-established, fast-paced six-doctor small animal veterinary hospital in Hebron, KY. Our patients are primarily dogs and cats, with the occasional pocket pet. What You'll Do:
- Partner with doctors on triage, treatment plans, and nursing care for stable and critical patients.
- Collect and analyze lab samples, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens.
- Capture diagnostic images, including radiographs and dental radiography when applicable.
- Prepare patients for surgery and provide anesthetic monitoring from induction through recovery.
- Support dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, therapy laser, ultrasound, and in-house diagnostics.
- Communicate clearly with clients so they feel informed, supported, and confident in their pet’s care.
- Model safe, low-stress handling and Fear Free principles for patients and teammates.
- Help shape technician workflows, training, and standards as the hospital continues to grow.
We're Looking For:
- Active Kentucky veterinary technician license or eligibility required. One or more years of professional experience is preferred, but motivated newer RVTs are still encouraged to apply!
- A veterinary technician who is confident with low-stress animal restraint, sample collection, anesthesia induction and monitoring, and medical record maintenance.
- A team-first communicator who enjoys educating clients and collaborating with doctors and support staff.
- Someone who thrives in a busy veterinary environment while staying calm, organized, and compassionate.
- A growth-minded RVT interested in mentorship, continuing education, and leadership opportunities.
- Availability for some Saturday shifts and reliability in scheduled hours.
- Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to animal-related hazards.
