At Garrison, we believe exceptional dining experiences begin with exceptional people. As a Cook, you will execute every dish with precision, consistency, and pride while contributing to a culture of craftsmanship, curiosity, and continuous improvement. Working alongside an accomplished culinary team, you will help to create memorable guest experiences through seasonal ingredients, refined technique, and genuine hospitality. Reporting to the Garrison Executive Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities
- Execute every dish with consistency, precision, and attention to detail.
- Taste and season food throughout production to ensure every place meets Garrison standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and disciplined workstation throughout each shift.
- Demonstrate proficiency in core culinary techniques while continuously developing new skills.
- Develop a thorough understanding of menu items, ingredients, allergens, sourcing stories, and seasonal changes.
- Prepare all food according to Garrison recipes, plating standards, and quality expectations.
- Support teammates during service while communicating professionally and respectfully.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation, food safety, and temperature logging standards.
- Properly rotate, label, and store all products to minimize waste.
- Ensure all EHC and ServeSafe standards are followed supporting the direction of your Sous Chefs and Chef de Parties. Ensure all EHC standard temperature logs are completed accurately.
- Participate in daily lineups, tastings, menu education, and culinary development sessions.
- Take ownership of your station and contribute ideas that improve quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

Physical Demands
This position requires:
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
