Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $1940 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: TruStaff Program - Bon Secours Mercy Health and no current placement allowed at Program: TruStaff Program - Bon Secours Mercy Health.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Background or knowledge about surgical drains and some experience moving post-op orthopedic patients (backs, hips, knees) preferred.

Preferred Credentials: - Critical Care Course preferred.

Unit Details: - MS/Tele orthopedic unit. - Adult and geriatric patient population; mainly orthopedic patients (backs, necks, knees, hips), with some trauma patients with orthopedic injuries, some medical patients (UTI, appendicitis, generalized weakness), and bariatric surgery patients on day of surgery and POD #1. - Drips include heparin and occasional PCA infusions with morphine or Dilaudid. - Uses Alaris pumps and Hercules beds. - Lines, drains, and devices include Hemovac, True-Close, and JP drains. - Oxygen modalities include BiPAP if not continuous, nasal cannula, and occasional non-rebreather or Venturi mask until transfer off the unit; no vents or trachs. - May team nurse with a small LPN population. - Charge RN takes a patient assignment.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Every other holiday.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
