Recruitment Range: $31,200 - $46,650

This position is within the North Carolina Department of Justice/Attorney General’s Office (DOJ), Transportation Division, which represents the North Carolina Department of Transportation (DOT) in its litigation and legal matters, including eminent domain/condemnation actions, employment actions and contract matters.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative, clerical, and office support to the Transportation Division of the NC Attorney General’s Office. The position is located in Raleigh, NC (Wake County) and is housed in the client’s offices. Job responsibilities include general administrative and clerical work; telephone duties to include responding to the public seeking general information on active legal cases; gathering mail from multiple sources to include the Secretary of Transportation and NC Department of Justice, and distributing mail in a timely manner; greeting and assisting walk-in visitors from the Department of Transportation, external visitors, staff seeking assistance, and others; picking up hand-delivered items from the NCDOT Security Desk; receiving and processing checks that are hand-delivered by the NCDOT Right of Way office; picking up and processing all NCDOT Fiscal checks; serving as a backup for purchase of office supplies; scheduling conference rooms; use of office technology; and serving as a back-up for travel review and approval. Additional duties may include providing assistance to Administrative Specialists preparing files and records for archiving; processing mediation bills for payment; and providing such other related clerical and legal secretarial support as may be required. The Administrative Associate II must be experienced, organized, and able to adjust to dynamic changes in the law office environment.

This position is 100% in the office with no telework available.
