Shift: 6:45 PM - 6:45 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Required Credentials: Driver’s license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of at least 80%, 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score, 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score, 2 attempts allowed.

Special Requests: Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position. In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match the address on the driver’s license.

Unit Details: 3 South is a cardiac/cardiovascular telemetry unit. Cares for patients with significant cardiac disease and related processes. Typical disease processes include chest pain, congestive heart failure, advanced heart failure, and syncope. Patients may require echocardiograms, stress tests, diagnostic and interventional heart catheterization, MitraClip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR. May also care for overflow general Med/Surg and other non-cardiac patients. Travelers will likely help precept new hires, including RN residents.

Floating Requirements: First to float to Med/Surg if needed.

5 days maximum time off
