Operating Room - Surgical Technologist - $2020 per week.

Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Sunburst Workforce Advisors Program - Cape Cod Healthcare and no current placement allowed at Program: Sunburst Workforce Advisors Program - Cape Cod Healthcare.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: - Graduate of an accredited civilian or military Operating Room Technician/Surgical Technician program.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Ortho experience strongly preferred.

Unit Details: - Assists in a variety of surgical procedures under the direct supervision of the surgeon and registered nurse. - Performs scrub technician functions for all services and specialties. - Sets up surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions; maintains a sterile environment according to hospital policy and AORN Standards of Care. - Ensures availability of surgeon- and case-specific instrumentation and equipment per department protocol and surgeon preference cards; may operate sterilizers, lights, suction, and diagnostic equipment. - Handles specimens for laboratory analysis and assists with surgical dressings, patient transport/positioning, transfer to recovery, and OR turnover/restocking.

Shift & Scheduling: - No call and no weekends on first contract. - Second contract: one weekend shift with 8 hours of backup call. - Third contract: one weekend shift with 8 hours of backup call, 8 hours of overnight call, and one Friday night overnight call shift (2200-0645) per schedule.

14 days maximum time off
