Work Environment

You will be working onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility in Monmouth Junction, equipped with the latest rehabilitation technologies. With a schedule typically from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, you will have the opportunity to develop strong relationships with your patients while enjoying a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing tailored treatment plans for each patient, ensuring approaches align with their specific rehabilitation goals.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities, using a hands-on approach to ensure proper techniques and maximize outcomes.
  • Administer various modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy to promote recovery and alleviate pain.
  • Closely monitor and document patient progress, providing regular updates to supervising Physical Therapists and adjusting plans of care as necessary.
  • Educate patients regarding injury prevention techniques and home exercise programs, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring best practices in patient confidentiality and data security.
  • Collaborate effectively with our healthcare team, communicating clearly and consistently to ensure coordinated, comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PTA at PhysioSpace, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other physical ailments. This role emphasizes the importance of personalized care, as each patient presents unique needs and recovery pathways. Qualifications

  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of New Jersey.
