Rebound Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our onsite team in Woodbridge, New Jersey. Work Environment

Located within a modern hospital facility, our clinic boasts a supportive and collaborative work environment. As a member of our dynamic rehabilitation team, you will work closely with fellow healthcare professionals, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility needed to meet the demands of patient scheduling and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing detailed treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, focusing on enhancing strength, mobility, and overall functionality.
  • Guided by treatment protocols, lead patients through targeted therapeutic exercises and activities aimed at pain relief and physical well-being.
  • Educate patients on correct body mechanics, exercise techniques, and facilitate effective home exercise programs to support their recovery.
  • Administer treatments and modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound therapy, and heat/cold applications, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and document patient progress, recording essential metrics such as improvements in range of motion and functional abilities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized treatment area and ensure equipment is sanitized and ready for use for patient sessions.
  • Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, effectively communicating updates and patient progress to optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Provide emotional encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering an environment of positivity and support.
  • Uphold ethical standards by ensuring patient confidentiality and adhering to professional guidelines in care delivery.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program, with relevant licensure or certification to practice in the state of New Jersey.

Compensation and Benefits

Rebound Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 50,000 to 65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
