Who We Are:

Join an independent R&D company as a skilled technician to assemble, maintain, and repair experimental equipment to aide in solving national security problems. Join our team and receive an additional $500.00 in your first paycheck (minus applicable taxes).

Objectives of this Role:

  • Maintain and test advanced electrical/mechanical systems, lab spaces, and support innovative projects that address national security and aerospace challenges.
  • Work on a variety of projects and/or current challenges to support the lifecycle of custom System designs.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks for experimental systems, ensuring operational excellence.
  • Assist engineers with testing newly developed systems.
  • Work independently and in team environments.
  • Assist with lab maintenance, field deployable systems and lab inventory.
  • Work with systems ranging from specialized lab-based instrumentation to airborne UAS platforms (drones).


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, troubleshoot, and maintain avionics and custom R&D systems, including field testing in diverse outdoor environments.
  • Mechanical and electrical assembly of custom equipment.
  • Travel and field testing support to conduct operational inspections and repairs, ensuring systems function at optimal levels.
  • Operate testing equipment for diagnostics and performance validation.
  • Assist staff with general lab cleanliness.
  • Complete assigned tasks and work on multiple tasks in parallel, including lab and group resource maintenance and management.
  • Train in and use computer programs to manage inventory of parts and materials.


Requirements:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical certifications and/or Associate degree is preferred.
  • Current Part 107 Drone Pilot License desirable or ability/willingness to obtain.
  • 2+ years: Mechanical and electronics assembly technician experience in avionics maintenance, systems testing, or similar technical roles.
  • 1 years: Basic electrical wiring with crimping and soldering knowledge.
  • Ability to travel and support field work in both cold and hot weather, dusty environments, and rain to support outdoor field testing.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.


Special Requirements:

Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
