Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• ASN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Basic Med/Tele skillset: cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, and central line management.

Required Credentials: - ASN / BSN

Special Requests: - Up to 6 days off can be approved, excluding holidays; time must be added to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Unit Details: - Patient population includes stroke, respiratory illnesses (flu/pneumonia/COVID), renal failure, peritoneal dialysis, and wounds. - RN patient ratios: 1:5-6; surge staffing could have ratios of 1:7-8. - CNA support for ADLs, mobility, and feeding; no HUC; charge nurse may or may not have a patient assignment. - Phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, telemetry monitoring tech, RT 24/7, hospitalist 24/7, and intensivist 24/7. - Uses virtual nursing (10 cameras); virtual RNs can act as second RN witness for certain meds, closely monitor patients requiring special monitoring, and assist with admissions/discharges. - Free Parking

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Possibility of low census call; can be called back up to 3a for nights and up to 3p for days. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Floating Requirements: - Floating within Region 3 as needed, within scope of practice, including Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, and Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH). - If floating mid-shift, remains on the clock while traveling between facilities.
