Work Environment

This PTA role is primarily based onsite at a hospital facility, providing you with the opportunity to work directly with patients in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team setting. You will engage with a diverse range of patients, each with unique needs and treatment goals. Our team is committed to fostering a supportive atmosphere that prioritizes patient care. Your typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient schedules and operational demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to enhance patient mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Directly engage with patients to guide them through therapeutic exercises and activities designed to alleviate pain and improve overall physical wellness.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics and effective exercise techniques to empower them in their recovery process.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength gains, and functional outcomes, ensuring this data is communicated effectively with the healthcare team.
• Prepare treatment areas, ensuring all equipment and therapeutic supplies are organized and readily accessible for each session.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care and promote optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
• Foster a positive and motivating environment for patients, offering emotional support and encouragement throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in patient care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PTA at Rockford Therapy Solutions, you will work with a diverse patient population, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, elderly patients recovering from surgeries, children with developmental disorders, and individuals facing neurological challenges. Your contributions will directly impact their rehabilitation journey as you help them regain independence and confidence in their physical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Valid state certification or license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions relevant to physical therapy practice.
• Proven ability to implement therapeutic exercises and modalities in accordance with the guidance of a Physical Therapist.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, with a deep commitment to helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, prior experience working in a rehabilitation setting or exposure to a variety of patient populations can enhance your application. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is also beneficial, as it streamlines the documentation process and enhances communication within the care team.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 50,000 to 65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:
