Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 6 months of Epic experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Cardiac rhythm interpretation and experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), care of patients with tubes/drains, IV starts, blood products, and wound care/dressing changes.

Unit Details: - Fast-paced observation unit with cardiac, respiratory, neuro, and other medical diagnoses. - RN ratios 1:5-6 on days and nights; may increase to 1:7-8 during surge staffing. - Support includes CNA ratio 1:12, no HUC, a charge nurse who may carry a patient assignment, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, RT 24/7, on-site hospitalist on days with virtual hospitalist coverage evenings and overnight, intensivist 24/7, and remote telemetry monitoring with a tele tech. - Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Massimo monitors in all rooms.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Low census call possible; can be called back up to 3a for nights and up to 3p for days. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - Night shift: 1845-0715. - Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Floating Requirements: - Float within Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH), within scope of practice, as needed per regional needs.

Special Requests: - Up to 6 days RTO may be approved, excluding holidays; time off must be made up at the end of the contract if contracted hours are not met.
