Experience:

• 24 months of experience.

• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Kentucky license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

Unit Details Cardiac telemetry floor with a mixed patient population including post-cardiac surgeries, thoracotomies with chest tubes, cardiac gtts, atrial fibrillation, and medical patients requiring telemetry monitoring. RNs titrate all drips except pressors, paralytics, and TPA. Charge nurse usually takes an assignment. Care tech support approximately 1:15. CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow are used on the floor; RNs place patients on and off, and respiratory therapy sets the rates. Centralized telemetry monitoring; RNs read strips once per shift and with rhythm changes.

Shift & Scheduling Self-scheduling, subject to change to maintain a balanced schedule. 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period. 2 summer and 3 winter holidays required. No call.

Floating Requirements May be pulled to the floors.
