About Independent Automotive Repair Shop

Independent Automotive Repair Shop is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician in Plain City, OH. This flat-rate position pays $30–$55 per flagged hour, with approximately 40 flagged hours per week typical. You'll work on Domestic, Asian, European, fleet, and light diesel vehicles in a climate-controlled shop with dedicated support staff. The schedule is Monday–Friday with no weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical, drivability, and mechanical concerns
• Perform engine, transmission, timing chain, and head gasket repairs
• Complete general automotive repairs and maintenance
• Perform Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) using Tekmetric
• Use Autel and Snap-on diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle concerns
• Document diagnostic findings, repair needs, and completed work

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional automotive repair experience
• A-Level or B-Level diagnostic and mechanical ability
• Strong automotive inspection and diagnostic skills
• Experience with engine and transmission replacement
• Electrical diagnostic experience strongly preferred
• ASE certifications preferred
• Tekmetric or DVI experience preferred; training available

Compensation & Benefits
