Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Physical Therapists in conducting thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical capabilities, integrating clinical observations into treatment planning.
  • Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, focusing on improving mobility, balance, strength, and daily functional abilities.
  • Utilize evidence-based manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to effectively address a variety of orthopedic and neurological conditions.
  • Document patient progress meticulously, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies while collaborating with the healthcare team for optimal patient care.
  • Engage in educating patients and their families concerning effective home exercise programs, the use of adaptive equipment, and strategies for preventing re-injury.
  • Participate in team meetings and case discussions, providing input on treatment efficacy and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work with a diverse patient population that may include individuals recovering from surgeries, accidents, or chronic orthopedic issues. Qualifications

  • Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is essential.
