Work Environment
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work onsite in a hospital setting with a collaborative healthcare team that includes physical therapists, doctors, nurses, and administrative staff. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver therapeutic services as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist, ensuring high standards of care.

- Conduct detailed chart reviews to assess and understand the physical therapist’s evaluations and recommendations, facilitating informed treatment interventions.
- Exhibit proficiency in various therapeutic modalities and interventions, adapting techniques based on individual patient needs and safety considerations.
- Proactively contribute to treatment outcomes by identifying and addressing patient care issues that could impact rehabilitation progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system, adhering to all legal and organizational standards.
- Engage with patients’ families and nursing staff to educate them about maintenance programs and caregiver training for effective discharge planning.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role primarily focuses on outpatient orthopedic patients, allowing you to work closely with individuals who are recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their mobility. Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- A valid and active California Physical Therapist Assistant license is required for practice.
- Demonstrated experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is essential, showcasing proficiency in exercise therapy, manual techniques, and sports rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits
