Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver skilled, evidence-based therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, ensuring adherence to care protocols and best practices.
  • Assist in crafting and implementing individualized treatment plans designed to enhance function, mobility, and overall well-being, while closely monitoring patient adherence and progress.
  • Document patient progress meticulously, adapting treatment approaches based on real-time feedback and patient responsiveness while maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Work in conjunction with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient needs and modify treatment interventions as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and self-management techniques to reinforce effective practices outside of clinical appointments.
  • Foster a positive environment that motivates patients and encourages sustained effort, while building trust and rapport through compassionate care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In our hospital setting, you will primarily work with a diverse patient demographic, including adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries, athletes recovering from sports injuries, and individuals with neurological conditions. Our focus extends to serving a variety of needs from rehabilitation to preventive care, thereby enriching our caseload and expanding your clinical experience.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited PTA Program .
  • Possession of a current California PTA license or in the process of obtaining the licensure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
  • Ability to operate in a team-oriented environment while also being capable of working independently when required.
  • Comfort with a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment characterized by the high-energy and adaptability.
  • Current CPR certification is mandatory or must be obtained prior to the start date.

Preferred Experience

  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Experience with a variety of treatment modalities and rehabilitation practices will be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems enhances productivity and documentation accuracy.

Compensation and Benefits
