Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional activities as prescribed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Utilize advanced modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and cryotherapy to assist patients in pain management and promote effective recovery.
  • Regularly monitor, document, and report on patients’ progress and responses to therapy, ensuring adherence to treatment plans.
  • Engage in ongoing collaboration with Physical Therapists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to continuously refine treatment approaches and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about home exercise programs and provide expert guidance on recovery techniques.
  • Maintain thorough and prompt documentation that meets all facility standards and regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily focus on a varied patient demographic, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Each patient presents unique challenges, allowing you to utilize your skills to create customized rehabilitation plans and make a significant impact on their recovery process.

Qualifications

  • Active and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in Virginia.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercises and pain management techniques.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.

Preferred Experience
