Position Overview

Work Environment

The position is located onsite at our modern healthcare facility, which is equipped with state-of-the-art therapy tools and technology designed for patient rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed physical therapists by executing treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and patient education under their guidance.
  • Prepare treatment areas and set up essential therapy equipment, ensuring a safe and organized environment for effective patient care.
  • Monitor individual patient progress, performing ongoing evaluations to communicate findings and adjust treatment plans as necessary in collaboration with the therapy team.
  • Engage with patients to provide encouragement and education regarding their recovery process, reinforcing the importance of compliance with therapeutic protocols.
  • Support clinic operations through efficient scheduling, managing patient intake processes, and contributing to the overall functionality of the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve primarily consist of individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and sports-related injuries. You will be instrumental in facilitating their progress towards regaining strength and mobility, helping to improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited institution.
  • Must hold a valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in California.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in an outpatient or similar healthcare setting, demonstrating proficiency in the delivery of physical therapy services.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to document patient interactions and treatment sessions.
  • Familiarity with manual therapy techniques and modalities is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
