Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2580 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: - Any hit on your license must be disclosed. Hits will be sent to UVA leadership for approval prior to proceeding.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Previous Charge Experience: Preferred - Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests: - Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away. - Time off around Christmas cannot be approved.

Unit Details: - Adult and geriatric patient population. - General medicine unit caring for respiratory, endocrine, cardiac, immune/infectious disease, and renal conditions. - Nurse-driven heparin infusions; insulin drips via Glucomander; telemetry; nurse-driven flu vaccination; CAPD. - Patient population includes respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell disease, and cystic fibrosis.

Shift & Scheduling: - Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. - Every other weekend. - Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays. - Can approve 40 hours for time off.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
