Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant - Full-Time Position

Work Environment

The selected Pediatric PTA will work onsite in our hospital facility in beautiful Stateline, Nevada, known for its picturesque landscapes and vibrant community. The work setting is designed to encourage teamwork and collaboration among healthcare professionals, ensuring that our staff has access to resources and support needed to provide the highest quality care. The role involves working weekdays, from Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM, allowing for a good work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in conducting assessments and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to pediatric patients' specific developmental and rehabilitation needs.
• Provide direct, hands-on care involving mobility training, strengthening exercises, and therapeutic activities that are engaging and fun for children.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, relaying observations and key insights to supervising Physical Therapists in a timely manner.
• Educate and empower families about their child’s therapy process, equipping them with tailored home exercise programs and resources for continued development outside the clinic.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date patient records in compliance with all regulatory guidelines and company policies.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow therapy team members and healthcare professionals to coordinate optimal patient care, ensuring holistic treatment plans are executed efficiently.
• Encourage and support patients throughout their therapeutic journeys, fostering a positive atmosphere that motivates children to engage actively in their recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on pediatric patients ranging from infants to adolescents who may have a variety of physical challenges, including but not limited to developmental delays, orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, and post-surgical rehabilitation. You will be instrumental in creating a welcoming and supportive experience for these young patients while ensuring their individual therapy goals are met with compassion and expertise.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current, valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Nevada.
• Mature ability to connect with children and contribute positively to their physical rehabilitation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and engage with families.
• Ability to function independently while embracing teamwork.
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid.

Preferred Experience

• Two years of experience working in a pediatric setting is preferred, although newly licensed PTAs with a strong interest in pediatrics are also encouraged to apply.
• Prior exposure to pediatric therapy techniques, therapeutic modalities, or developmental interventions will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this full-time role is between $90,000 and $100,000 per year, accompanied by a robust benefits package, including but not limited to:
