Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 5 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Interpretation/Management of dysrhythmias is required. Required clinical skills include blood product administration, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, starting IVs, insulin, PCA, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injury, orthopedic trauma, peripheral nerve block catheters, total joint replacements, surgical drains, Emerson/Pleur-evac chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, oral suctioning, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, isolation precautions, and wound care/wound vac. Trauma experience is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe. No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Preferred Credentials: BSN preferred.

Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. If a shift is missed, please work to make it up as soon as possible if able.

Unit Details: Patients come from the ED, OR, or ICU. Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients age 55 and older with trauma from abuse/violence, MVA/MVC, and falls. Acute care surgery cases include appendicitis, gallbladder conditions, hernia repairs, fistulas, wounds, burns, and traumatic brain injuries. Equipment includes lifts, restraints, wound vacs, traction, and external fixators.

Shift & Scheduling: BJC policy: Every other weekend required. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. No call. No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract.

Floating Requirements: Floats within scope to meet facility needs.
