Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and recovery goals.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care as necessary based on feedback and observations during therapy sessions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient care and interactions to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Provide education to patients and their families on home exercise programs and rehabilitation principles to encourage independent recovery.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, nursing staff, and physicians to enhance patient care outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing training opportunities and utilize in-house Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to further enhance professional skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist Assistant will primarily work with a diverse patient population comprising elderly individuals recovering from surgeries, managing chronic conditions, and requiring rehabilitation due to injury or illness. Our focus is on delivering compassionate care that addresses not only physical healing but also the emotional and motivational aspects of recovery, ensuring each patient receives comprehensive support during their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Virginia.
• Ability to practice physical therapy without restrictions, adhering to all state and federal guidelines.
• A passion for working with elderly patients and contributing positively to their quality of life.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehab environment is highly desirable, enhancing your ability to manage complex patient needs.
• Familiarity with Healthcare/SNF systems such as Net Health or Casamba.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information to patients, families, and team members.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 50,000 and 65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer:
