Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and document patient progress, noting improvements in range of motion and overall functional capability, and collaborate with the therapist to adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Administer physical therapy modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under the supervision of the licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Prepare treatment areas, ensuring that necessary equipment and supplies are organized and readily accessible for therapy sessions.
  • Educate patients about appropriate body mechanics and home exercise programs to support their recovery post-treatment.
  • Provide encouragement and emotional support, helping to foster a positive atmosphere that motivates patients during their rehabilitation.
  • Engage with the interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with ethical and professional standards, safeguarding patient confidentiality throughout all interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The PTA will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, as well as chronic conditions. Qualifications
