Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of customized treatment plans as developed by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring effective and efficient patient care.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, neuromuscular re-education, and the application of various modalities, adhering strictly to established guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient treatments, progress, and responses through our electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance and quality assurance.
  • Educate patients and their families on proper techniques, safe posture, and home exercise regimens aimed at sustaining progress post-therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with clinic aides and administrative personnel to streamline patient appointments and enhance facility operations, ensuring high-quality care delivery.
  • Regularly monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary while communicating changes to the supervising therapist, patients, and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At our facility, you will primarily work with outpatient orthopedic patients, ranging from post-operative recovery to sports injuries. Your role will be critical in providing rehabilitation to individuals of all ages, from young athletes to elderly patients recovering from surgery. Each day presents unique challenges, as you will help patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life through thoughtful therapy.

Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required, focusing on physical therapy practices.
  • Licensure: Must possess a current and valid New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant license.
