Work Environment

This role is based at a hospital-affiliated outpatient clinic, allowing for collaboration with a broader medical team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patient mobility and strength.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, ensuring they understand the purpose and technique of each exercise for optimal recovery.
• Perform manual therapy techniques under the supervision of the Physical Therapist to alleviate patient discomfort and promote faster healing.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient progress, utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, to track therapy outcomes and adapt treatment protocols as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on recovery strategies, home exercise programs, and injury prevention measures.
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions to ensure cohesive and integrated patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at our clinic, you will work primarily with orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our patient demographic includes a diverse range of ages, from young athletes to seniors, each requiring tailored rehabilitation approaches to meet their specific recovery goals. Qualifications

• Candidate must possess an Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current PTA license issued by the California Board of Physical Therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
