Work Environment
This role is based at a hospital-affiliated outpatient clinic, allowing for collaboration with a broader medical team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare providers. Our full-time staff enjoy a structured work schedule with a focus on work-life balance, typically from Monday to Friday, with shifts either starting at 8:00 AM or 9:00 AM and concluding at 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patient mobility and strength.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, ensuring they understand the purpose and technique of each exercise for optimal recovery.
- Perform manual therapy techniques under the supervision of the Physical Therapist to alleviate patient discomfort and promote faster healing.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient progress, utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, to track therapy outcomes and adapt treatment protocols as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on recovery strategies, home exercise programs, and injury prevention measures.
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions to ensure cohesive and integrated patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at our clinic, you will work primarily with orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our patient demographic includes a diverse range of ages, from young athletes to seniors, each requiring tailored rehabilitation approaches to meet their specific recovery goals. Qualifications
- Candidate must possess an Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current PTA license issued by the California Board of Physical Therapy.
- At least two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, with a solid understanding of treatment modalities specific to this environment.
- Comfortable using electronic medical record systems, particularly WebPT, for documentation and patient tracking.
- Demonstrated proficiency in various hands-on therapy techniques, including therapeutic and manual therapies.

Compensation and Benefits
