Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Milpitas hospital facility, where our team thrives in a bustling outpatient setting. The clinic is equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and technologies, ensuring that our staff has the resources necessary to deliver effective treatments. You will work predominantly Monday through Friday, with flexible scheduling options from either 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM for a balanced work-life approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists during patient evaluations and treatment sessions, ensuring adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques, reinforcing proper form and understanding to maximize recovery.
• Educate patients on rehabilitation strategies and injury prevention methods, fostering their engagement in their recovery processes.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving patient needs.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and contribute insights on patient care improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and those seeking rehabilitation post-injury. Many patients present with varying degrees of mobility challenges, necessitating customized interventions in therapy sessions. Your role will focus on delivering care that not only restores physical function but also reinforces patients' mental and emotional resilience during their healing journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance from an accredited program.
• Current and valid PTA license to practice in California.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in an outpatient orthopedic clinic, demonstrating a solid understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to facilitate efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience implementing manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise regimens tailored to individual patient needs.
• Exposure to multi-disciplinary care teams, enhancing collaborative practices in patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary range of $75,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience.
