Work Environment
In this role, you will primarily work onsite within our hospital environment, where the atmosphere is collaborative and patient-centered. Your work schedule will typically consist of weekdays from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours available from either 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This allows for a balanced approach to your professional commitments while ensuring that you can dedicate ample time to your patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing detailed treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of patients recovering from orthopedic conditions.
- Prepare and maintain therapy equipment, ensuring all tools are sanitized, organized, and ready for use before each session.
- Monitor patient progress closely and document observations, providing the therapy team with essential feedback on the effectiveness of treatment strategies.
- Engage in direct patient care activities, including aiding patients during exercises, manual therapy, and mobility training.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, assisting with patient intake procedures, and managing electronic medical records (EMR) using systems like WebPT.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will play a key role in rehabilitation, helping to guide individuals towards regaining strength, mobility, and independence. Understanding the specific needs of diverse patient populations is crucial, as each case requires a personalized approach to care.
Qualifications
- An Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, with a thorough understanding of physical therapy principles and techniques.
- Possession of an active Physical Therapist Assistant license in California.
- A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in an outpatient or similar healthcare setting, particularly in orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to streamline documentation and patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 85,000 annually.
