Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with licensed Physical Therapists to implement and manage personalized treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide hands-on therapy including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and assistive device training.
  • Monitor patient progress, documenting outcomes and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize rehabilitation.
  • Educate patients on exercise techniques, ensuring understanding and adherence to treatment protocols.
  • Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a well-rounded approach to each patient’s care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your interactions will primarily involve patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries such as joint replacements, fractures, and musculoskeletal injuries. You will assess their physical abilities, monitor their progress, and cater to their individual needs. Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field
  • A valid and active Physical Therapist Assistant license in New York State
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an orthopedic setting
