Gotham Enterprises Ltd is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Work Environment

This position is based onsite within our hospital facility in North Las Vegas. Our state-of-the-art rehabilitation clinic is designed to create a supportive and welcoming environment for both patients and staff. The team is composed of talented professionals, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care tailored to their specific needs. The work schedule is typically Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to accommodate patient schedules and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans focused on enhancing mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed for optimal physical health and pain management.
  • Educate patients on body mechanics, exercise routines, and develop personalized home exercise programs to aid in their recovery journey.
  • Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and physical functionalities.
  • Prepare treatment areas and ensure that all equipment and supplies are organized and accessible for therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care and achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Provide encouragement and emotional support to patients, fostering a motivating atmosphere that enhances their commitment to recovery.
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting their rights at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals undergoing rehabilitation after surgeries, seniors recovering from injuries, children facing developmental delays, and athletes returning to peak performance. Each patient's treatment plan will be customized, reflecting their unique challenges and recovery goals, allowing you to engage meaningfully with a wide array of therapeutic modalities.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the principles of therapeutic interventions in physical therapy.
  • Competence in implementing therapeutic exercises and modalities under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling rapport-building with patients and effective collaboration with your healthcare team.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered attitude towards care, coupled with a genuine commitment to supporting patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This position features a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
