Grand Health Care Clinic is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate healthcare team in Miami, Florida. Work Environment
This full-time position is based on-site at our state-of-the-art hospital facilities located in vibrant Miami, Florida. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, where professionals from various disciplines come together to support patient health. Your typical working hours will be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility required to address patient needs and optimize our clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing tailored treatment plans aimed at enhancing patient mobility, strength, and overall physical functionality.
- Guide patients through individualized therapeutic exercise routines to foster physical well-being and alleviate discomfort.
- Educate patients on body mechanics and at-home exercises designed to support their recovery and wellness.
- Administer therapeutic modalities, including electrical stimulation and ultrasound, as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking vital metrics such as strength gains, range of motion improvement, and adherence to treatment.
- Maintain a well-prepared treatment environment, ensuring that all necessary supplies and equipment are organized and accessible.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team comprising Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Provide emotional support and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation process, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and dignity at all times.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a Physical Therapy Assistant at Grand Health Care Clinic, you will work with a diverse patient demographic that includes individuals recovering from surgery, injuries, cardiopulmonary conditions, and those requiring rehabilitation due to age-related mobility challenges. You will be instrumental in crafting individualized care plans that address the unique needs and conditions of each patient, enhancing their recovery experience.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
- A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy and physiology, along with therapeutic interventions pertinent to physical therapy practice.
- Proficient in executing therapeutic exercises and using modalities under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, enabling you to establish rapport with patients and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits
