Position Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in our orthopedic outpatient office located in Millbrae, California. Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing tailored treatment plans for diverse patient needs while adhering to safety and professional standards.
- Prepare and maintain therapy areas and equipment to ensure readiness for patient sessions.
- Guide and monitor patients through exercises, balance training, and mobility techniques, adapting approaches based on individual progress and feedback.
- Participate in patient evaluations and assessments, documenting progress and communicating effectively with the PT team regarding any changes observed.
- Administer administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records, utilizing EMR systems, including WebPT, for efficient practice management.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role primarily focuses on patients with orthopedic conditions, including post-operative care, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. You will work with a diverse patient population, offering personalized support that caters to each individual’s unique recovery pathway. Your contributions will play a vital role in helping clients regain mobility and improve their quality of life.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
- Current and valid PTA license in California.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an outpatient physical therapy setup.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is essential.
- Demonstrated experience with manual therapy techniques is preferred.
Preferred Experience
While two years in an outpatient setting is required, preference will be given to candidates with experience in orthopedic rehabilitation and familiarity with contemporary therapeutic modalities. Additional certifications in specialty areas such as sports rehab or pain management will enhance your candidacy.
Compensation and Benefits
This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 60,000 to USD 70,000 per year , commensurate with experience. In addition to a robust salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
