Position Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at Complete Balance Physical Therapy Group in Sunnyvale, California. In this full-time role, you will play a vital role in our orthopedic outpatient office, where you will work collaboratively alongside skilled physical therapists to provide exceptional care aimed at enhancing patients' mobility and overall quality of life.

Work Environment
This position is based onsite at our modern outpatient therapy office within a hospital environment, providing you with access to advanced medical resources and multidisciplinary collaboration. Your daily schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life routine.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in the implementation of individualized treatment plans, ensuring that patient care is both effective and aligned with clinical goals.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, balance training, and mobility techniques, providing encouragement and necessary adjustments to their routines.
- Prepare and maintain therapy areas, ensuring that all necessary equipment is clean, organized, and readily available for daily sessions.
- Document patient progress meticulously, utilizing EMR systems such as WebPT to maintain accurate health records and streamline communication with other healthcare professionals.
- Support administrative tasks including scheduling patient appointments, verifying insurance details, and coordinating care services to enhance operational efficiency.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries and injuries, including joint replacements, fractures, and sports-related conditions. You will work closely with a diverse group of patients, helping them regain function and independence through tailored rehabilitation programs.
Qualifications
- A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program is essential.
- An active PTA license in California prior to starting the role is required.
- At least two years of clinical experience, particularly in an outpatient orthopedic setting, demonstrating firsthand knowledge of patient care dynamics.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems like WebPT is a must for efficient documentation and patient tracking.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with manual therapy techniques to effectively assist with individual patient needs.
- Prior experience in working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to enrich patient outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits
