Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2220 per week.

Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on drivers license. Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/TDAP declinations.

Special Requests: - Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.

Required Credentials: - Driver License is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. - Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of at least 80%, with only two attempts permitted. - Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score, with only two attempts allowed.

Unit Details: - Responsible for caring for patients with significant cardiac disease and related processes. - Typical disease processes include chest pain, congestive heart failure, advanced heart failure, and syncope. - Patients may require echocardiograms, stress tests, and diagnostic and interventional heart catheterization. - Additional procedures include MitraClip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR. - Travelers may help precept new hires and RN residents. - Unit may overflow generalized Med/Surg and other non-cardiac patients as needed.

Floating Requirements: - Travelers would be the first to float to Med/Surg if needed.
