Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Special Requests: Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Cardiac-trained RN experience preferred.

Required Credentials: In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on driver’s license. Driver license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/Tdap declinations. Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization, 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization, 2 attempts allowed.

Unit Details: Cardiovascular telemetry unit caring for patients with significant cardiac disease. Typical disease processes include chest pain, congestive heart failure, advanced heart failure, syncope, and patients requiring echocardiograms, stress tests, and diagnostic and interventional heart catheterization. Additional procedures and cases include MitraClip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR. May be asked to help precept new hires and RN residents. Unit may also take overflow generalized Med/Surg and other non-cardiac patients as needed.

Floating Requirements: Will be the first to float to Med/Surg if needed.

5 days maximum time off
