Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2290 per week.

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Required Skills/Experience: - Prior experience working on a dedicated neuro unit required. - Heparin gtt experience required.

Special Requests: - Will block if it is possible with staffing.

Unit Details: - Nurse: patient ratios: day shift 1:4-5, nights 1:5-6. Surg staffing will increase ratios to days 1:6 and nights 1:7. - Common diagnoses/types of patients: stroke, spine surgery, seizure, brain tumor, head injury, neuroscience, some medical overflow. - RNs titrate drips; heparin titrated drips are based on PTT. - House-wide telemetry; nurses do not need to read their own strips. Uses Phillips monitors. - High flow for stable COVID only (very rare).

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Every other holiday. - No call.

Floating Requirements: - Float in rotation with rest of staff. - General unit traveler floats to general unit floor and takes a full team. - If floated outside of the general unit in urgent situations, assignments will be limited to skills the clinician is competent to perform and paired with a nurse trained for that unit.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
