The Outpatient Clinical Pharmacist provides direct patient care in an ambulatory setting, ensuring medications are safely prescribed, dispensed, and monitored. This role offers evidence-based drug therapy recommendations, counsels patients and caregivers on appropriate use, and helps manage medication-related issues. The pharmacist collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other team members to optimize outcomes, supports quality and safety initiatives, and stays current with formularies, protocols, and new therapies.
