Position Overview
Heal And Align Physical Therapy, located in the vibrant community of Clearwater, Florida, is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team. As a PTA, you will work closely under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to provide exceptional care to our patients, assisting them on their journey towards recovery and improved mobility. Work Environment

Operating onsite allows you to engage directly with both patients and interdisciplinary team members, leading to a cohesive approach in treatment and rehabilitation strategies. This full-time position operates from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques as outlined by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring adjustments are made based on patient response and progress.
- Assist patients with mobility training and monitoring gait patterns, providing feedback and modifying exercises as necessary to maximize therapeutic effects.
- Apply advanced therapeutic modalities, including ultrasound and electrical stimulation, while assessing their impact on patient recovery.
- Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes meticulously to ensure compliance with clinic protocols and state regulations.
- Actively participate in team meetings with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient care strategies and rehabilitation plans.
- Educate patients and their families about home exercise programs, safety precautions, and recovery strategies tailored to each individual's needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area while ensuring that all equipment is used properly and maintained according to safety guidelines.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work predominantly with orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. These may include individuals undergoing rehabilitation post-joint replacement, sports injuries, or those managing conditions such as arthritis and post-operative recovery. Your compassionate approach will not only aid in physical recovery but also boost patient morale and independence in their daily activities.
Qualifications
- A completed Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Active and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Florida.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage patient documentation and therapy schedules.

Preferred Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in an orthopedic outpatient or rehabilitation setting.
