Work Environment

The role is set within a modern hospital facility that features state-of-the-art therapy equipment and resources designed to facilitate optimal patient care. Our onsite environment allows for efficient collaboration among healthcare providers, ensuring patients receive a holistic approach to their recovery. You will work primarily Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing personalized therapy plans aimed at improving patient mobility and reducing pain.
• Administer therapeutic interventions such as manual therapies, exercise programs, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Monitor patient progress, document treatment sessions, and communicate effectively with therapists and other healthcare team members about patient status.
• Maintain accurate and updated medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
• Educate patients and their families on management strategies to promote ongoing health and prevent injury recurrence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility primarily serves orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions, including sports-related injuries, joint replacements, and tendon repairs. A strong emphasis is placed on creating tailored rehabilitation programs that address individual patient needs, ensuring optimal recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree from a state-approved Physical Therapy Assistant program or an equivalent educational credential recognized in Florida.
• Current PTA license issued by the State of Florida.
• Minimum of two years of direct experience in clinical patient care, with a strong understanding of outpatient orthopedic procedures.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with patient assessments, treatments, and progress monitoring in an outpatient setting.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems to document and track patient care effectively.
