Key Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy services as per the plans set forth by licensed Physical Therapists (PTs), ensuring that each session meets patient needs and is tailored to individual recovery goals.
- Engage with patients and their families, offering education on therapy techniques and home exercises to enhance patient understanding and involvement in their care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and other required data using advanced documentation tools, including point-of-service technologies.
- Apply modern infection control practices and standard precautions to promote patient safety during treatment sessions.
- Participate in continuous education and in-service programs to remain informed about advancements in physical therapy practices and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure the highest standards of care and patient support, integrating feedback to improve service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The ideal candidate will work predominantly with elderly patients, many of whom will be in skilled nursing facilities. Understanding the unique challenges and requirements of this demographic is crucial to provide compassionate and effective care. Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assistance.
- Possession of a valid and active Physical Therapist Assistant license.
