Key Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Evaluate patient progress by monitoring treatment outcomes and adjusting plans as necessary while always adhering to state and federal guidelines.
• Provide hands-on guidance to patients during therapeutic exercises, utilizing state-of-the-art modalities and equipment.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using advanced point-of-service documentation with iPad technology to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises and benefits, empowering them in their rehabilitation journey.
• Participate in clinical meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize patient care.
• Maintain an organized workspace and ensure that equipment is clean and in good working order.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Virginia.
• Strong ability to practice physical therapy independently while adhering to all relevant guidelines.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or hospital environment.
• Familiarity with Healthcare/SNF systems such as Net Health or Casamba is advantageous.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills in clinical situations.
