Work Environment

This is an onsite role within our hospital facility located in Fullerton, California. As part of a collaborative healthcare team, you will work in a dynamic environment where your contributions will have a direct impact on patient health outcomes. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional schedule flexibility to accommodate patient needs. You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, all striving towards the common goal of patient rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in the implementation of individualized patient treatment plans designed to enhance mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities, ensuring proper technique and maximizing benefits such as pain relief and improved physical capacity.
• Educate patients regarding body mechanics, exercise techniques, and effective home exercise programs to foster independence and facilitate recovery.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, following the protocols established by supervising physical therapists.
• Document and monitor patient progress meticulously, tracking measurable improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional independence.
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are organized and ready for use during therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care, optimizing patient outcomes through effective communication and teamwork.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement throughout patients' rehabilitation experiences, helping to cultivate a motivating and supportive atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Associate degree program for Physical Therapist Assistants.

Compensation and Benefits
