Position Overview
Gulf Side Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team in Saratoga, California. This full-time role involves working closely with our physical therapy professionals to implement tailored treatment plans designed to facilitate patient recovery and enhance mobility. Work Environment
This position is based onsite at our physical therapy facility, located within a hospital in Saratoga, California. Our work setting promotes interprofessional collaboration, allowing our team to coordinate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers in the hospital. The schedule for this role is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for consistent work-life balance while providing quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in conducting thorough assessments and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients with various injuries and physical conditions.
- Guide patients through prescribed exercises, utilizing therapeutic techniques while fostering a supportive and motivating environment.
- Monitor and document patients’ progress, providing regular feedback to the supervising physical therapist to ensure optimized treatment adjustment.
- Educate patients and their families on effective at-home exercise routines and safety protocols to enhance recovery efforts.
- Maintain and sanitize therapy equipment, ensuring all tools are set up and ready for use to promote the efficiency of therapy sessions.
- Adhere to all compliance regulations, documentation standards, and HIPAA guidelines to safeguard patient information and deliver quality care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The primary focus of your work will be with a diverse range of patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or experiencing chronic pain and movement disorders. Understanding each patient’s unique needs is crucial, as you will be actively involved in their rehabilitation journey. Qualifications
- Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is essential.
- A current California PTA license or eligibility to obtain one is required.
- CPR/BLS Certification is mandatory or a willingness to secure certification upon hire.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience
