Position Overview

The On Point Rehab Center is actively seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic outpatient orthopedic clinic located in Burlingame, California. In this full-time role, you will work directly with a diverse range of patients, providing essential support as they work towards recovery. Work Environment

The work setting for this position is onsite at our comprehensive rehabilitation hospital, offering an engaging atmosphere tailored for teamwork. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, with flexible schedules available from either 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Physical Therapist Assistant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting licensed physical therapists in the implementation of individualized therapy plans designed to promote recovery and functional independence.
  • Guiding patients through a spectrum of therapeutic exercises tailored to alleviate pain, increase strength, and enhance mobility.
  • Utilizing hands-on therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, to facilitate movement and improve physical performance.
  • Monitoring patient progress and ensuring accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records (EMR) to maintain patient data integrity and compliance.
  • Educating patients on preventative care and lifestyle modifications that can assist in their recovery post-discharge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our outpatient clinic primarily works with individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries, including sports-related injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. You will interact closely with patients of various ages and fitness levels, guiding them on their journey to regain strength and mobility. Our focus is on delivering compassionate care tailored to each individual’s unique circumstances, encouraging an environment of support and understanding.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
  • Current, active Physical Therapist Assistant license in California or eligibility to obtain one.
  • At least two years of professional experience working in an outpatient orthopedic healthcare setting.

Preferred Experience

While the above qualifications are essential, we also prefer candidates who have experience in:

  • Utilizing various therapeutic modalities and exercise techniques specific to orthopedic rehabilitation.
  • Working with EMR software for patient documentation.

Compensation and Benefits
