Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in a full-time capacity at our orthopedic outpatient clinic located in Campbell, California. In this rewarding role, you will collaborate directly with licensed Physical Therapists, assisting them in implementing treatment plans and enhancing patient recovery through various therapeutic techniques.

Work Environment

You will enjoy a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, with shifts available from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, providing work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists in conducting therapy sessions by implementing specific treatment techniques tailored to the individual needs of patients.
  • Guide patients through prescribed exercises and mobility improvement activities, ensuring they understand proper techniques to maximize recovery.
  • Perform manual therapy techniques to alleviate pain and enhance mobility as instructed by the supervising therapist.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient interactions, progress, and modifications in treatment plans using our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, such as WebPT.
  • Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation exercises, injury prevention methods, and techniques to support ongoing health.
  • Engage in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress and coordinate care plans effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic focuses primarily on orthopedic patients, which includes individuals recovering from surgeries, acute injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. As a PTA, you will work closely with a diverse patient population ranging from athletes to elderly individuals, ensuring that each patient receives compassionate care and customized rehabilitation strategies conducive to their specific health profile.

Qualifications

  • An Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
  • A current and active Physical Therapist Assistant license in California.
  • Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is essential.
  • Proficiency in utilizing EMR systems like WebPT is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective patient interactions.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with a variety of manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise interventions.
  • Previous involvement in patient education and support focusing on recovery and injury prevention is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
